The Santa Cruz County Office of Education’s (SCCOE) Career Technical Education Partnership (CTEP) Program announces the newly established Bay Photo high school student internship program. These paid internship positions have presented our community’s youth the connection to receive work-based learning (WBL) opportunities in a globally recognized organization such as Bay Photo. Linda Roberts, Director of Human Resources, shared that she appreciates the work these students accomplish and Bay Photo’s intention is to provide them with a valuable work experience.
These students are challenged daily to learn new skill sets and processes to help make them invaluable to the organization. Mark Hodges, SCCOE’s Senior Director of CTEP shared, “This WBL student opportunity is a positive example of what the SCCOE CTEP program is all about. Namely, to present our community’s youth WBL opportunities that translate into developing critical thinking skills as they work towards career opportunities.”
The SCCOE CTEP program would like to acknowledge and say thank you to all of the students, staff members and especially the Bay Photo team who helped develop this incredible WBL opportunity.
